WHY THIS TRIP, WHY NOW
This isn't a service trip. It's a turning point.
On October 16–19, 100 of us will fly into Oaxaca, Mexico to build 50 homes in four days. Side by side with TECHO — our build partner of seven years — and the families who will live in the homes we put up together. This is the largest single build in Taylor Love Adventures history. It's a landmark moment in our mission to fund 10,000 homes by 2035. And it's the trip people will be talking about for years.
You don't need construction skills. You don't need to be in peak physical shape. You need to be willing to fundraise, willing to show up, and willing to be changed by what happens in those four days. The moment you land in Oaxaca, everything shifts — and nothing about the trip, or the person you become inside it, will feel ordinary.
A landmark mission moment
50 homes. 100 builders. One four-day window. The October Super Trip is our most ambitious single build — and the clearest expression yet of what it means to lead with purpose, raise with heart, and build something that lasts a lifetime.
HOW YOU EARN YOUR SEAT
Raise $3,300 in 30 days. Build a home with the family.
A home in Oaxaca costs $6,600. You raise half. Another builder raises the other half. Two fundraisers, one home, one family.
$3,300
Your fundraising goal
Half the cost of a complete home for a family in need
30
Days to fully funded
From launch day to a fully funded campaign — most do it in three weeks
1
Home built together
With your build partner, your coach, and the family who will live inside
You launch your fundraising campaign. The clock starts. You have 30 days to raise $3,300 — half the cost of a home. Hit it, and you've earned your seat on the October trip. Miss it, and your funds flow to TECHO's general Mexico fund to build homes elsewhere. Either way, every dollar your donors give builds homes. That's the promise we make — and the promise we keep.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK
What you're probably wondering.
What if I can't raise $3,300?
Most of our builders thought the same thing before they started — the fundraising is what changes you. We coach you through every step, and most people hit their goal in under three weeks. If you genuinely fall short, your donors' money still builds homes through TECHO. Either way, not a single dollar is wasted.
What if I've never done construction before?
Neither had most of our builders. TECHO leads the build — they're professionals who have raised more than 130,000 homes across Latin America. You bring your hands, your willingness to learn, and your heart. The skills arrive on day one.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. Many builders don't speak a word. The work transcends language — and you'll be surprised by how much you communicate, and how deeply you connect, without it. Laughter, effort, and a shared purpose translate everywhere.
Who is TECHO?
Our build partner of seven years — a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating in Mexico and across Latin America. 100% of the funds you raise go directly to TECHO, who has built more than 130,000 homes for families in need. TLA does not handle, hold, or receive any donated funds.
Is this a tax-deductible donation?
Yes. All donations flow through American Friends of Un Techo Para Mi Pais, a registered U.S. 501(c)(3). Your donors receive official tax receipts for every contribution they make to your campaign.
What if I qualify but can't go?
Funds are non-refundable — they stay with TECHO and build homes in Oaxaca regardless. Your spot opens for a waitlisted builder who is ready to step in. The homes still get built. The mission moves forward.
THE MISSION BEHIND THE TRIP
10,000 homes by 2035.
The October Super Trip isn't just a travel experience — it's a milestone in a much larger story. Taylor Love Adventures was founded on a single conviction: that ordinary people, raised to lead with generosity, can change the material reality of families living without adequate shelter.
Every campaign you run, every dollar you raise, every home you build brings us closer to 10,000 homes by 2035. The October trip puts 50 of those homes on the board in four days. That's what a landmark build looks like — and that's what you become part of when you earn your seat.
100%
Funds go to TECHO
Every dollar raised goes directly to the build partner
You won't do this alone.
Taylor McArthur — Your Fundraising Coach
Every builder who earns a seat on the October trip gets paired with Taylor McArthur for personal fundraising coaching. Taylor has guided hundreds of builders through their first campaigns — she knows where the sticking points are, how to talk to donors authentically, and how to build momentum when the clock starts. You'll have direct access from the moment you're accepted through the day you board your flight.
Taylor Conroy — Founder, Taylor Love Adventures
Taylor Conroy has led international builds across Latin America for over a decade. He founded TLA on the belief that fundraising — not just donation — is the transformative act. When you raise $3,300 from your network, you don't just fund a wall and a roof. You lead. You build. You become someone your donors will follow again and again.
